The NBA and NFL is full of deadbeat dads who can’t keep up with their legion of kids by multiple women, but one Michigan man is putting all those guys to shame. After failing to pay even a fraction of his required child support, Howard Veal, father to 23 kids by 14 different women just received a 23-48 month jail sentence for his criminal offense. “In my entire career I have never seen a case like this where so much was owed to so many and ignored,” Kent County Judge Dennis Leiber, who has presided over support cases for more than 20 years, told ABC News. The Michigan man accumulated a debt of more than $533,000 in child support payments, according to court records. Veal has allegedly failed to support his children beyond a few meager payments. “You are the poster child for irresponsibility,” Leiber told Veal at a court hearing, according to The Grand Rapids Press. “You’re an insult to every responsible father who sacrifices to provide for their children.” We see articles such as this one find ourselves at a lost for words.But what is even more disturbing are the Women who continue to have intimate relationships with men who refuse to take financial responsibility for their children. Have you ever had a friend ...that you found yourself saying "I feel so sorry for her, she works all the time and her live -in baby daddy is there living,eating,sleeping all the while she's working nine to five just to make a living? Well let me start by saying stop feeling sorry for someone who tolerates such foolishness. The Movie "Baby Boy" comes to mind. I still to this day don't understand how a woman could be o.k with a man who refuses to be the man of the house. In the Days of Fred Flinstone the man went out and worked hard for the money to provide for his honey. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying that women shouldn't work...I'm just wondering when did it become acceptable for some men not to work. I also know that there are some hard working men out there who's entire purpose in life is to care for his family. My real issue isn't with the men but with the women who tolerate such foolishness. That old saying "I can do bad all by myself comes to mind. See, I like to think about who will be harmed by my foolish decision. Just imagine with me right now what goes through the mind of children who see their mother's go off to work while daddy is allowed to stay in bed and sleep. What example is being taught to the children in this home. The reason that the Census says 71%of men in America doesn't provide financial care for their children is because there are women out there whom enable them. Like, why would a woman be so desperate to have a man that in order to keep him around she pays, for hair cuts, clothing, shoes,etc etc just to be with this man. The lack of self-worth causes some women to settle. And I just want women to understand just how much influence you have in a man's life. It goes all the way back to the days f Adam and Eve. It's been said for years that Eve made Adam eat the forbidden fruit. That statement caused me to think. O.K. If a woman can influence a man to do whats forbidden ...that same woman can influence a man to do what's right. women don't allow these men to be there with you and the children and be counter-productive. Children deserve so much more.
